Mizrahi Tefahot Bank Ltd

Ein av dei største bankane i Israel. Andre har gravd i banken tidlegare: Det irske strategiske investeringsfondet (Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, ISIF) trekte seg ut våren 2024, og grunngav avgjerda med at selskapet hadde aktivitet på okkupert palestinsk territorium.[1] Banken står også på Storebrand si eksklusjonsliste per første kvartal 2025, i kategorien "Conduct-based exclusion - Human Rights and International Law".[2] KLP ekskluderte banken i 2021, ettersom fordi den var oppført i FNs høgkommissær for menneskerettar si oversikt over selskap med aktivitet i israelske busetnader på okkupert palestinsk territorium.[3]

Ifølge FNs høgkommissær for menneskerettar sin database var banken involvert i "The provision of services and utilities supporting the maintenance and existence of settlements, including transport", "Banking and financial operations helping to develop, expand or maintain settlements and their activities, including loans for housing and the development of businesses" og "The use of natural resources, in particular water and land, for business purposes".[4]

Who Profits Research Center gir fleire konkrete døme på at Mizrahi Tefahot Bank Ltd skal ha sørga for finansiering til utbygging av nye busetnader på okkupert territorium, særleg frå 2023 og tidlegare (seinast Ramat Shlomo i Aust-Jerusalem). I tillegg skal banken gi lån til dei styrande organa i fleire busetnader på Vestbredden (og Golan).[5] Nettsidene til Who Profits Research Center viser ikkje til konkrete kjelder for desse opplysingane, men dei meir utførlege (men eldre) rapportane viser mellom anna til israelske eigedomsregister og arealplaner.[6] Vi har ikkje funne oversikter som er oppdaterte etter 2024, men heller ikkje noko som tyder på at dei ikkje lenger gir slike lån.

Oljefondet eigde 0.63 prosent av aksjane i banken ved utgangen av 2024. Eigarskapen har veksla mellom 0.63 og 1.19 prosent dei siste åra.[7] Selskapet er ikkje ekskludert frå Oljefondet per mai 2025, og er heller ikkje under såkalla observasjon.[8]
